A grant to participate in the ETCC 2024 congress in Avignon, France,
September 23-25, 2024
The congress
Under the umbrella of the FATIPEC organization, the European Technical Coatings Congress (ETCC) will be organized in Avignon, France on 23-24-25 September 2024.
The theme of this congress is: “Coatings Evolution”. Papers can be submitted for one of the following topics:
- advances in sciences of paints,
- adhesives,
- printing inks and related products,
- colour and dyes,
- formulations,
- corrosion protection,
- biobased solutions,
- sustainability,
- circular economy,
- carbon footprint and decarbonation,
- life cycle assessment,
- advances in processing and production,
- building materials,
- wood as a substrate,
- measuring and testing.

The grant
The FATIPEC Board wishes to stimulate the participation of young scientists from the whole of Europe. To this purpose it has been decided to sponsor the participation of one young scientist per country.
The grant will cover: congress fee, travel costs and the costs of hotel and food.
A young scientist means: students, graduates, PhD students and Post Docs active at a (technical) university or high school in Belgium or young researchers active in the Belgian coating industry (age up to 35 years).
In return the applicant is asked to present a poster or a paper during the congress.
Application for the grant
Applicants are asked to submit an abstract for a poster or a paper to ATIPIC info@atipic.be (via a
Word or pdf file) by January 15, 2024 latest. The abstract must be written in English and should
contain at least: title of the poster or paper, name of the applicant, affiliated university, high school
or company, the research objective, the approach, results and conclusions.
The selection process for this grant will be executed under the responsibility of the Board of ATIPIC.
