Seminar on alternative colouring technologies
On 6 octobre 2023 by jennifer.demeuldre14th of November 2023
More than 15,000 years ago, communities of men left their mark in numerous caves in France and Spain. Their art can be seen in the paintings they left on the walls and ceilings. Surface treatment was born, and for a long time its primary vocation was decoration. Techniques have of course evolved since then, and are no longer limited to the dispersion of pigments in a matrix (paint). Sustainability criteria, adaptation to materials and the creation of « smart » effects, to name but a few, have been added to the decorative aspects. Aesthetic, environmental and economic criteria continue to drive the development of new technologies in this field. These are the developments in the field that we would like to share with you during this thematic day.
